Buckhorn’s 32nd Annual Golf Tournament
On August 15, 2015, I had the privilege of photographing the Buckhorn’s 32nd Annual Golf Tournament.
This tournament started in 1984, back when big hair and tight shorts were the latest trend set. It started with a group of six, good ol’ fashion country boys having fun playing golf. These country boys got caught (more than once) drinking Buckhorn Beer out on the golf course by their teacher, soon after naming them “The Buckhorn Boys”.
The Buckhorn Tournament was born!
Now, 32 years later, the Buckhorn Tournament goes strong, located at their original home course, Oaksridge Golf Course. Surrounded by close family and friends, these same ol’, slightly older country boys, still come together once a year to celebrate the “Golden Years” and keep The Buckhorn Tournament alive.
The memories these fellas have created, collected and shared over the years, is truly what the meaning of family and friendship is all about!
I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this special legacy these men created!
